HOW DO I APPLY TO BECOME A VENDOR?

VENDOR APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY JULY 1st.
Please read the following Veg on the Block Vendor guidelines thoroughly, then fill out the following form to the best of your abilities and our team will review your application and contact you with either an approval, a request for more information, or a reason for rejection.  If your application is approved, you will have 7 days from your approval confirmation to pay your vendor fee in order to secure your spot.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND GUIDELINES FOR ALL VENDORS

DATE:    August 4th, 2019
TIME:     Event runs from 12:00pm - 6:00pm
               Vendor Setup runs from 8:30am - 11:00am
               Vendor Tear Down runs from 6:00pm - 8:00pm
PLACE:  Downtown Charlottetown. Exact location to be released soon!
  • This event is running RAIN OR SHINE!
  • Tents will not be provided but are encouraged if you have one.  (Please note: if you plan on bringing a tent, please inform Veg PEI.)
  • All foods, products, etc must be 100% vegan. This means no animal products whatsoever which includes: meat, cheese, eggs, other dairy items, honey, gelatin, wool, leather, silk...etc. If you have a product that you are unsure of please get in touch with us and we will be happy to help.  Businesses that are not 100% vegan are more than welcome at our event, however, all goods and services offered on event grounds during our event must be 100% vegan.
  • Absolutely no driving onto the location site. You must park around the perimeter of the grounds and walk any items into the grounds. (Feel free to use a cart/trolley.)  If you have limited mobility and/or need extra help in setting up your booth please let Veg PEI know in advance and we can make the proper arrangements for you.
  • Vendor space guarantees you: 1 plastic folding chair + 1 6 ft rectangular table. If you need additional items please let us know asap.
  • There will be limited use of electricity which is reserved for vendors preparing, serving & storing food in hot or cold temperatures. If you are not a food service vendor and require electricity, please explain why in detail in your application.  We may make exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
  • Food service vendors are responsible for obtaining their own proper permits/licences.  Veg PEI will be checking to make sure all applicable vendors hold the necessary permits/licences.  If your business is unsure of your requirements feel free to contact us so we can help you through the process. 
  • By participating in this event you must agree that Veg PEI may advertise that your business is a participant. 
  • Veg PEI reserves the right to deny any applications deemed contrary to the nature of this event, and to revoke the approval of any businesses that do not follow the aforementioned guidelines before or during the event.
  • VENDOR APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY JULY 1st.​

IS THERE A FEE TO BECOME A VENDOR?

The fees to participate are as follows:
$65.00 - Business Applications
$25.00 - Non-Profit Applications
$150.00 - A combined fee for restaurant applications that wish to participate in BOTH 'Veg on the Block 2019' & 'Veg It Up! 2019'. ($40 savings, Veg it Up! 2019 runs from October 4th-17th)


Your application counts as a 'business application' if you are selling any goods or services (food, products, etc.) for a profit.

Your application counts as a 'non-profit application' if you are a not selling goods or services (Ie. an information booth) or are a charity or non-profit selling goods or services to raise money for your charity or non-profit.

If you do not fall into any of these categories, or are unsure of your designation please contact us!

'Veg on the Block' & 'Veg It Up' 2019 Combined Fee
If you are a restaurant who would like to participate in both Veg on the Block and Veg It Up 2019, (October 4th-17th, 2019), you have the option to pay BOTH fees together at a discounted price. You do not need any of your Veg It Up 2019 info or details upon payment; further information on Veg It Up 2019 will be released mid-summer.

WHEN IS MY VENDOR FEE DUE?

Please submit your application first. 
Your application will be reviewed by our board, and you will be contacted once your application has been approved.
Once you have received your application approval you must pay your fee within 7 days to confirm your spot.

Refund Terms:
If you cancel your attendance:
Before July 22nd you will receive a refund of 90% of your fee.
On or after July 22nd your fee is non refundable.

HOW DO I PAY MY VENDOR FEE?
